To accompany this stunning piece of Olivier Messiaen, I began to look in my archive for images that somehow could convey the same emotions as the music without stopping to reflect when, where or why they were taken. I wanted to bring the photographs out of their surroundings, creating a piece in which the music provided the narrative, giving cohesion to images that appear to have nothing in common.

The composer refers to a look, that of prophets, shepherds and magi to the baby Jesus, full of surprise, strangeness and unease.
